This is a senior engineering role focused on maximising the reliability, availability, and performance of BPA's operating assets with a focus on above ground assets such as pumps and valves. The role involves:
- Leading reliability risk assessments using methodologies such as FMEA, FMECA, HAZOP, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Developing and overseeing condition monitoring strategies and defining asset health indicators.
- Analysing reliability, performance, and failure data to identify trends and provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Designing, optimising, and continuously improving maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
- Collaborating with engineering, operations, maintenance, and project teams to embed reliability best practice.
- Integrating design-for-reliability principles into new assets, modifications, specifications, and procurement.
- Leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve asset availability, data quality, and operational performance across BPA's network.
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or related discipline).
- Experienced in reliability engineering or a closely related field within an asset-intensive industry.
- Hands-on experience using CMMS systems for maintenance planning, asset history, and performance reporting.
- Ability to analyse complex data and translate findings into practical, actionable improvements.
