Job Description:
We are looking for a Strategic Implementation & Category Manager to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will engage and lead with external and internal partners on the delivery of profitable existing & new propositions. You\’ll be playing a key part in transforming bp’s proprietary food service, adding value to bp and exciting the customer, with high-quality, innovative products & services across all channels of trade for our customers within the UK foodservice market.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the delivery of new propositions within the UK market, including the creation of business cases, project updates, internal partner management and setting up pilots / measuring success pilots
- Leading categories relevant to your role, driving optimization and performance through commercial excellence and product quality.
- Driving the coffee agenda within the UK end to end, engaging with all key partners in the business to create a profitable, quality, customer lead proposition
- Provide expertise and work closely with key internal partners, suppliers, product development, technology and food safety to ensure that implementation of key projects applied to all new proposed propositions.
- Managing the food product developers in the UK, providing guidance and elevating their skills to deliver first in class food propositions.
- Lead on the delivery of new and improved equipment solutions that enhance the site operational delivery and improving the customer experience
- Develop and provide detailed project plans, relating to the development & implementation of the optimized and new offers, this includes partner engagement, management and oversight of key milestones of all Food Service projects
- Lead the digitalization agenda for foodservice in the UK working with partners to provide expertise
- Provide implementation support to the European proposition teams with their initiatives that will deliver value for food service into the UK
Key Skills:
- Strong commercial background within retail – Experienced within a Hospitality, Coffee and/or Food Service environment
- Strong Category Management – Fresh Food and Food Service Offer and product knowledge
- Strong Line management experience
- Food product development experience
- Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Sector, market, customer and competitor understanding
- Customer focus
- Ability to review and translate performance insights and retail financial data
- Project & programme management experience
