About the Role

BP Rolls is seeking an experienced and fully qualified Workshop Vehicle Technician who is also a Certified MOT Tester to join our dynamic and professional workshop team in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual who takes pride in delivering high‑quality workmanship and exceptional service. Working on behalf of a portfolio of National clients, you will play a vital role in ensuring commercial vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, helping keep our customers’ fleets safe, compliant, and on the road.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of commercial vehicles and light commercial vehicles.
  • Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations and standards.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and accurately.
  • Complete vehicle inspections and safety checks.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to manufacturer and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure workshop productivity and customer satisfaction targets are achieved.
  • Adhere to all health, safety and environmental procedures within the workshop.
  • Support the delivery of a first‑class service to our national client base.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Current and valid MOT Tester certification.
  • Proven experience in a similar workshop environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills.
  • Experience working on commercial vehicles is desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast‑paced, dynamic team environment.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential).
