BP Rolls Newport is seeking a skilled and motivated Trailer Shop Technician to join our workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining commercial trailer bodies and associated mechanical components to a high standard.
This role requires hands-on experience in trailer body construction, fabrication, and mechanical repairs while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Build and assemble trailer bodies and commercial vehicle bodywork according to company specifications.
- Carry out repairs, modifications, and refurbishments on commercial trailers and vehicle bodies.
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on trailer components including brakes, suspension, axles, and running gear.
- Conduct inspections and fault diagnostics on trailers and workshop equipment.
- Carry out welding, fabrication, and fitting work where required.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment in the trailer shop.
