About the Role

BP Rolls Fleet operations is looking for a highly organised and proactive Fleet Operations Executive to join the team, based at our Haslingden Depot in the North West.

This is a fast-paced, operational role supporting our 24/7 fleet maintenance service for commercial clients across the UK.

As a Fleet Operations Executive, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers’ fleet vehicles remain roadworthy, compliant, and operational by coordinating live technician maintenance activities and allocating work efficiently to our network of field-based vehicle technicians.

This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong customer service, and the ability to remain calm and make informed decisions in a busy operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate live maintenance and repair jobs to vehicle technicians, ensuring the most effective use of available resources.
  • Support the day-to-day delivery of our 24/7 technical operations, responding to live incidents and changing operational priorities.
  • Liaise with customers, technicians, suppliers, and internal teams to provide timely updates and ensure high levels of service.
  • Monitor job progress from allocation through to completion, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are achieved.
  • Escalate operational issues where necessary and work collaboratively to identify effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal fleet management systems in real time.
  • Prioritise urgent requests while balancing workload across the operation.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, building positive relationships with commercial clients.
  • Support wider business administration and operational processes as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help maintain efficient operational procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in a busy operational, logistics, scheduling, or business support environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Confident using computer systems, Microsoft Office, and business software.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to support colleagues across the operation.
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts on a 4-on, 4-off rota, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Previous experience within fleet management, vehicle maintenance, transport, or automotive operations.
  • Experience of scheduling or dispatching field-based engineers or technicians.
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance or fleet operations.
