BP Rolls Hull is seeking an experienced and driven Bodyshop Manager to lead our automotive & commercial fleet repair and refinishing operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Vehicle Repair Bodyshop environments and estimating, who can combine technical expertise with leadership skills to deliver high-quality repairs, excellent customer service, and efficient workshop performance across all team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Bodyshop, ensuring workflow efficiency and productivity targets are met
- Manage and support a team of technicians & painters
- Produce accurate and timely repair estimates using industry-standard systems
- Monitor job progress from estimate through to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are achieved
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, insurers, and suppliers
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and safety standards
- Control costs, manage budgets, and maximise profitability
- Handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
- Proven experience in an automotive Bodyshop environment
- Previous experience in estimating (e.g., Audatex or similar systems)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets
- Knowledge of repair techniques, paint processes, and insurance procedures
- ATA accreditation (preferred but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence
