The team is focused on providing a high-quality service to bp’s expatriate population. This role will support a global expat program to ensure bp and their assignees are meeting all assignment tax compliance requirements.Please note that roles based out of SJS or Sunbury will move to Timber Square, Southwark, from Q4 2027.**Key accountabilities:*** Manage assignee tax equalization payments (TEQ’s), including payments and collections for primarily the US, Canada and the UK.* Answer assignees questions on TEQ payments and collections.* Support with TEQ escalation process including engagement with line managers, PC&C and legal.* Issue internal tax return communications to assignees and track responses.* Work with bp’s external tax services provider to support with compliance escalations and ensure efficient running of the annual tax return process.* Monitor and deliver assignment compliance monthly/quarterly/annual related compliance activities.* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including P&C, O&A, Tax, Global Mobility teams, payroll, and external vendors.* For allocated countries act as IM Centre of Excellence contact for expatriate tax matters.* Support Mobility Compliance consultant in delivery of projects and initiatives linked to compliance.**Experience and job requirements:*** Knowledge of expatriate tax and social security principles. Be able to understand legislation changes and outline impact on bp and our expatriates.* Experience of delivering or overseeing expatriate tax programmes to large global companies.* Highly motivated, willing to take on new challenges and able to focus on continuous improvement.* Excellent task management to prioritise to meet strict deadlines and deliverables timely and efficiently.* Strong verbal and written communication skills.* Accurate data skills and high attention to detail.* Excellent teamwork.* Excellent MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills i.e. knowledge of Vlookups etc.**Why join us?**At bp, we support our people to grow in a diverse and exciting environment.
