During this 2 year apprenticeship, you will be part of a cross-disciplinary team, working closely with other data analysts, product managers, data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, data managers and business partners. You will be part of a team whose responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

  • Building scalable, reusable, impactful data science products, usually containing statistical or machine learning algorithms, in collaboration with data engineers and software engineers.
  • Carrying out data analyses to yield actionable business insights.
  • Adhering to and advocating for data science and best practices (e.g. technical design, technical design review, unit testing, monitoring & alerting, checking in code, code review, documentation)., Use data systems securely to meet requirements and in line with organisational procedures and legislation including principles of Privacy by Design
  • implement the stages of the data analysis lifecycle
  • apply principles of data classification within data analysis activity
  • analyse data sets taking account of different data structures and database designs
  • assess the impact on user experience and domain context on data analysis activity
  • identify and elevate quality risks in data analysis with suggested mitigation or resolutions as appropriate
  • undertake customer requirements analysis and implement findings in data analytics planning and outputs
  • identify data sources and the risks and challenges to combination within data analysis activity
  • apply organizational architecture requirements to data analysis activities
  • apply statistical methodologies to data analysis tasks
  • apply predictive analytics in the collation and use of data
  • collaborate and communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders using appropriate styles and behaviours to suit the audience
  • use a range of analytical techniques such as data mining, time series forecasting and modelling techniques to identify and predict trends and patterns in data
  • collate and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and convert into infographics, reports, tables, dashboards and graphs
  • select and apply the most appropriate data tools to achieve the optimum outcome

Training schedule

  • The data analytics apprenticeship will lead to a Level 4 qualification, following an apprenticeship standard aligned with L4 data analyst such as: https://skillsengland.education.gov.uk/apprenticeships/st0118-v1-1. For which the provider is likely to be Corndel, however, may be subject to change. Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship - Corndel
  • The formal learning will be a combination of online and in person.
  • A minimum of 6 hours of your working time will be protected for formal learning.
    GCSE in:
    English and Maths (grade 4) A Level in: Computer Science/IT, Maths or Physics (grade C) Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

  • Team working, Demonstrable coding knowledge, which may be tested throughout the recruitment process. Applicants with a level 3 apprenticeship qualification will also be considered.

    Our digital apprenticeship programs are 2 years long. During this time, you\'ll work on different projects alongside learning day to day operations, to become a rounded professional.
