The Global Aviation Technical Training Lead is a critical role in enabling this transformation. You will own and evolve the technical training content used across Air bp, ensuring it is operationally robust, fit for purpose, and accessible to frontline teams globally. You will collaborate closely with operational leaders, P&C Skills & Performance, and regional training networks to deliver high‑quality learning experiences that strengthen capability, safety, and performance across our global footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Training Content Creation & Ownership
- Provide operational and maintenance expertise to shape new and refreshed technical training materials.
- Partner with P&C Skills & Performance (Aviation) to develop specialist e‑learning content.
- Coordinate updates to task packs via RADAR and act as Technical Training Content Owner.
- Own and manage the refresher cycle for: 43 Training Documents (TRN suite) including driver training, site induction, misfuel prevention, leadership skills; 126 Training Task Packs (approx. 630 documents in total).
- Support training delivery as required with the portfolio to operated, JV, and TSA locations, including specialist workshops (e.g., TSA training programmes).
- Analytics & Self‑Verification
- Use data insights (CADOPS, operational data, self‑verification results, incident trends) to identify knowledge gaps and training weaknesses across sites, regions, topics, or trainers.
- Lead the training self‑verification process, including custodianship of the framework and on‑site assurance activities.
- Managing the Global Training Network & Tools
- Lead, coach, and support the global aviation training network.
- Serve as owner of the Aviation training CADOPS system and manage associated development relationships.
- Act as owner and administrator of the Training Asset Platform.
- Work with P&C Skills & Performance to ensure training platforms remain current, aligned with bp best practice, and reflective of wider industry standards.
About You – Requirements
- Strong operational and maintenance knowledge and experience (aviation or similar industry preferred).
- Experience with training systems, training delivery, and coaching.
- Project management capability with the ability to manage complex content portfolios.
- Excellent written English skills, with strong grammar, clarity, and formatting.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.
- Prior experience in a similar role or industry is desirable.
