They ensure category activities, across the region / asset are aligned to the categories and procurements strategic objectives, as well as the regions / assets strategic business priorities.They work with the global category team to deliver their regions / assets priorities, balancing business needs with category plans ensuring they are in alignment.They are the primary point of contact for suppliers to that category in their region and partner, collaborate, develop and support management of relationships with them, ensuring local needs are met. They also work with their peers across procurement to understand and share best practice and bring it to their region / asset, making their category more efficient and effective.They have a deep understanding of and partner with the business to gather demand and challenge the business, where necessary, in order to deliver step changes in 3rd party spend by applying innovative solutions and change management. They have good commercial savvy to help in delivering secure optimal, compliant, and competitive, risk-managed category outcomes. The primary sub-category focus will be Marine (offshore support vessels), Aviation (offshore people movement), Supply Base and Fuel (marine gas oil) in support of the Logistics Services Team, within bp Solutions. Annual spend ~USD 200m.What you will deliver Category delivery in region / asset: Delivers category performance to the region / asset that meet or exceeds relevant metrics, including those for safety and compliance.Delivers regional needs whilst also aligning to category plans – Consolidates demand plans for the business, working with their wider category team to ensure category plans are aligned.
