About the Programme
bps Supply, Trading & Shipping (ST&S) organisation is undertaking a multi-year digital and data investment programme designed to accelerate growth, strengthen commercial performance, and deliver critical new capabilities across the business. This transformation will directly contribute to ST&S gross margin and enable the organisation to operate with greater agility, insight, and efficiency.
As part of this programme, we are recruiting a Project Change Manager to lead the people-focused elements of change for a major project with impacts across ST&S. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months+, with the opportunity to shape and embed meaningful, sustainable change across a global organisation.
Role Purpose
The Project Change Manager ensures that the people side of change, including shifts in processes, systems, technology, roles, and culture, is effectively managed to deliver successful outcomes. The role partners closely with project and programme teams to design and implement structured change management plans that maximise adoption, minimise resistance, and support business readiness.
Key Accountabilities
- Change Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement change management strategies aligned to project objectives.
- Identify key stakeholders, assess change impacts, and define engagement, communication, and training requirements.
- Ensure strong alignment between project delivery milestones and business readiness activities.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Build trusted relationships with project sponsors, senior leaders, and business stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver clear, targeted communications that drive understanding, commitment, and adoption.
- Facilitate workshops, briefings, and feedback sessions to support two-way dialogue and stakeholder agreement.
- Impact Assessment & Business Readiness
- Analyse change impacts on roles, processes, and organisational structures.
- Assess and track business readiness and adoption throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify risks and resistance points, developing mitigation strategies where needed.
- Training & Capability Development
- Partner with subject matter experts and business leads to define learning needs and develop training materials.
- Coordinate training delivery and provide support to ensure a smooth transition to new ways of working.
- Change Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Define and monitor change success metrics and feedback loops.
- Report progress, risks, and insights to project and programme governance forums.
- Capture lessons learned and share procedures across teams and projects.
