About the Role

We are looking for a Pensions Team Leader who will guide our pensions administration team and help us deliver clear, reliable support to our members and stakeholders. In this role, you'll help us run our day-to-day operations, keep our processes on track, and make sure people get the information they need in a way they can understand.

Please note that roles based out of SJS or Sunbury will move to Timber Square, Southwark, from Q4 2027.

What You'll Do

We work together to make pensions administration run smoothly. In this role, you will:

  • Support and guide a team of pension administrators and help them grow in their roles
  • Oversee the administration of our defined benefit and defined contribution schemes
  • Work closely with colleagues across HR, Finance, and our Trustee boards
  • Communicate pension information in a way that is clear and easy to follow
  • Create member communications and presentations using simple, effective design principles
  • Keep an eye on our performance measures and help us improve where needed
  • Handle complex queries and help us resolve issues quickly
  • Contribute to improving our processes and systems
  • Help us maintain accurate and reliable pension records

What You Bring

We are looking for someone who can help us build a steady, supportive, and member-focused service. You'll bring:

  • Experience leading or supervising a pensions administration team
  • A solid understanding of UK pension rules and how they apply in practice
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confidence creating straightforward, engaging content for different audiences
  • The ability to build strong working relationships
  • A practical approach to problem-solving
  • Familiarity with pension administration systems and Microsoft Office
  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • A pensions qualification such as PMI/APMI is a plus
