Job Title: Sales Manager – Brewery
About the Role
The BDM will be responsible for securing distribution, driving availability and visibility, ensuring exceptional product quality in the trade, and delivering continuous volume growth.

1. Be the Face of the Brewery
- Live and breathe the on-trade environment.
- Demonstrate a proactive, “do it now” attitude and deliver outstanding service to customers.
- Engage key consumers through innovative activations that set our beer range apart in a competitive market.
2. Planning & Drive for Results
- Work efficiently to identify, win and maintain distribution.
- Ensure correct positioning of the brewery’s beer portfolio.
- Consistently achieve (and exceed!) distribution, revenue and brand-execution targets.
3. Team Collaboration
- Work effectively across functions including marketing, operations, customer service and senior leadership.
- Be an active contributor to the sales team-support colleagues and share best practices to drive collective success.
4. Negotiation & Customer Management
- Negotiate and implement commercial partnership agreements.
- Complete all reporting requirements accurately and on time.
5. On-Trade Marketing
- Maintain and utilise point-of-sale tools to drive growth.
- Bring the brewery’s on-trade vision to life through innovative brand support that adds value for customers.
6. Brand Execution Excellence
- Perfect Quality: Ensure consumers experience world-class quality every time they enjoy our beer.
- Perfect Serve: Champion optimal serve standards, including temperature and presentation.
- Perfect Visibility: Secure strong, consistent brand visibility to maximise sales.
- Right Price: Encourage optimum pricing to deliver value for both customers and the brand.
Experience
- Proven track record of consistently delivering sales and distribution targets.
- Strong local market knowledge, contacts, and industry experience within the trade.
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Confident negotiation and objection-handling abilities, with solid commercial acumen.
- Trade-savvy, passionate and committed to high performance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Solution-oriented, proactive mindset with strong presence, reliability, self-motivation and ambition.
- Effective time and workload management to maximise efficiency and impact.
