Overview
Boys and Boden is seeking a Truck Driver for a full-time, on-site role in Shrewsbury, England, United Kingdom. The Truck Driver will be responsible for driving trucks, loading and unloading goods, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Daily tasks include loading vehicles with a forklift and offloading using an atlas crane with a brick grab attachment. Multidrop deliveries vary from big building sites to farms and the high street. This is a very varied role—no day will be the same. Hours: 7:30 AM–5:30 PM, with a 5:00 PM finish on Fridays. Rate to be confirmed.
Responsibilities
- Drive trucks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Load vehicles using a forklift and offload using an atlas crane with a brick grab attachment.
- Perform multi-drop deliveries to building sites, farms, and high streets.
Qualifications
- Class 2 HGV
- Experience in loading vehicles preferred
- ALLMI card or similar preferred; training available if required
- Counterbalance forklift certification preferred
- Knowledge of tachograph and working time directive regulations
- Excellent driving record and safety-conscious
- Fresh pass candidates will be considered; experience of 1 year plus preferred
- Strong attention to detail and punctuality
