Job Title: Operations Manager UK (Retail Betting & Gaming)
Reports to: Head of Retail Operations UK
Location: UK (Nationwide)
Role Purpose
As we expand our presence in the UK, we seek a strategic Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across our retail betting and gaming outlets. The role involves driving performance, ensuring compliance, and enhancing customer experience, with a focus on managing FOBTs and SSBTs for profitability and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee daily retail shop operations, maintaining standards for service, product, and cleanliness.
- Implement operational policies to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Manage staff performance, stock, and cash processes.
- Resolve operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
FOBT and SSBT Performance
- Manage deployment and maintenance of FOBTs and SSBTs, optimizing performance.
- Analyze data to improve terminal profitability and customer engagement.
- Develop strategies to increase usage responsibly.
- Coordinate with suppliers and technical teams for hardware/software issues.
- Create training programs for staff support.
Sales and Revenue Growth
- Develop strategies to attract and retain customers, increasing spend.
- Monitor KPIs, adjust strategies to meet targets.
- Collaborate with marketing on promotions and campaigns.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to Gambling Commission regulations, including age verification, AML, and responsible gambling.
- Manage audits and compliance checks.
- Conduct risk assessments, implement safeguarding measures.
Leadership and Development
- Lead and motivate regional and machine managers.
- Provide performance reviews, training, and development.
- Promote a culture of accountability and excellence.
Customer Experience
- Maintain high service standards across locations.
- Engage with customers for feedback and improvements.
- Handle escalated issues professionally.
- Collaborate with People department for team effectiveness.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in operations management, preferably in betting or retail sectors.
- Strong knowledge of FOBT and SSBT management and UK gambling regulations.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams.
- Data-driven decision-making skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of customer behaviors and market trends.
- Experience managing multi-site retail operations.
