Role Purpose
You will be responsible and accountable for the shop and the team in the absence of the Shop Manager. The day‑to‑day role is to assist the Shop Manager and the team with the smooth running of the store, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the day while accepting and paying out bets and delivering excellent customer service. The role includes opening and closing the business and managing shop operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Shop Manager with day‑to‑day running of the shop and the shop team.
- In the absence of the Shop Manager, lead the operation of the shop and the team, responsible for opening and closing the shop, managing and guiding the shop team, cash management procedures, and time‑and‑attendance system usage.
- Set and maintain shop presentation standards and create a clear communication culture encouraging ideas for improvement.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to improve shop results, engaging the team to work to high standards.
- Provide exceptional customer experience, educate and guide the team in delivering excellent service, accept bets accurately through multiple channels, and process transactions via EPOS in a timely manner.
- Act as a brand ambassador, introducing customers to the multi‑channel/digital journey.
- Ensure adherence to all operational procedures, cash management and security procedures, and social‑responsibility duties.
