Role Purpose
You will be responsible and accountable for the shop and the team in the absence of the Shop Manager, operating and running the Shop, managing the shop team effectively, ensuring high standards are maintained, accepting and paying out bets, and delivering excellent customer service. The role includes opening and closing the business and managing shop operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Shop Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the shop and the shop team.
- Lead from the front when the Shop Manager is absent, overseeing the operation of the shop and the team.
- Open and close the shop.
- Manage and guide the shop team.
- Execute cash management procedures.
- Oversee the use of the company Time and Attendance system, ensuring team adherence.
- Maintain shop presentation standards, leading by example.
- Communicate clearly, encouraging colleagues to share improvement ideas.
- Focus on shop results, identifying opportunities for high standards and teamwork.
- Provide outstanding customer experience and educate team on excellent customer service.
- Accept bets per procedure, accurately processing through all channels (betting terminals, EPOS).
