Role Purpose
You will be responsible and accountable for the shop and the team in the absence of the Shop Manager, operating and running the shop, managing the shop team effectively, opening/closing the business, assisting the Shop Manager and ensuring high standards are maintained while accepting and paying out bets and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Shop Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the shop and the shop team.
- Lead the operation of the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager, including opening and closing the shop.
- Manage and guide the shop team, including cash management procedures and use of the Time and Attendance system.
- Lead by example and drive the team to maintain shop presentation standards.
- Encourage team members to share ideas for improvement and identify opportunities to achieve high standards.
- Provide outstanding customer experience, educating and guiding the team to deliver excellent service.
- Accept bets accurately through betting terminals and the EPOS system.
- Act as a brand ambassador, introducing customers to the multi‑channel/digital journey.
- Ensure compliance with operational, cash management and security procedures.
- Adhere to social responsibility duties.
