The Immigration team at Boyes Turner continues to experience significant growth, and we are looking for a talented Immigration Lawyer to join us and play a key role in the team's ongoing success and development. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic and expanding team, advising clients on all aspects of UK business immigration, with a particular focus on sponsored work routes. Alongside delivering expert legal advice and support, you will have the opportunity to develop your career and grow with the team as it continues to expand.

Experience/Attributes required:

  • At least one year's experience working within the UK immigration system
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the UK's immigration system, with a particular focus on the sponsorship system and associated visa categories
  • Excellent attention to detail and a process-driven approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A desire to pursue a career in immigration
  • Ability to work independently, managing a busy caseload with minimal supervision
  • Experience of, and/or an interest in, working with data on a daily basis
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Passionate about the benefits of international migration, with an understanding of the wider considerations of a globally mobile workforce
  • Ability to build strong client relationships
  • Experience of, or knowledge of, project management principles
  • Experience of, or knowledge of, technology solutions within a legal environment that are designed to enhance the client experience

Work type:

  • Acting as a point of contact for a range of clients on UK immigration matters
  • Providing advice to clients on the full range of UK immigration categories, particularly the sponsorship system and associated visa categories
  • Developing and maintaining a strong knowledge of the Immigration Rules, relevant legislation and the operation of the UK immigration system
  • Acting as a Level 1 User on the Sponsor Management System on behalf of our clients
  • Liaising with the Home Office on immigration-related matters
  • Providing advice to clients on developing international recruitment strategies
  • Visiting client sites to deliver training and conduct audits
  • Assisting with the ongoing development and management of the firm's knowledge library, including drafting new precedents and updating existing materials
  • Supporting the Head of Immigration in the continued development of the team, including playing an active role in business development activities
