We are currently looking for a proactive and forward-thinking Paralegal to join our friendly Community Care team based in Reading. The position is primarily a support role rather than a fee-earning one, providing essential assistance to the Partner and wider team.
As part of this role the candidate will be required to attend to our offices in Reading 2-3 days each week with the ability to be flexible.
Work type:- Ensure file management, case management and administration are kept up to date
- Assist/provide holiday cover during absences of other fee earners
- Achieve personal target(s)
- Assist the practice group in achieving target(s)
- Develop and achieve firm benchmarks for your role
- Instruct agents in accordance with your team’s requirements
- Diary management
- Document handling on behalf of fee earners
- Billing management
- Depending on candidates experience assist with other ad hoc fee earning tasks
- Assisting with screening new potential clients
- 2 + years of experience working within a similar role
- Work unsupervised on administration elements of files
- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Work effectively in a team and on your own
- Ensure that all tasks allocated by team members are completed in a timely manner
- Good keyboard and Microsoft Office skills
- Manage competing priorities and deadlines independently
- Good record keeping
