The Material Handler is responsible for overseeing the full range of shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory control activities specific but not limited to our Leo account. This includes receiving and inspecting shipments, verifying documentation, storing materials, managing inventory transactions, and supporting production and distribution processes. This position ensures accuracy, efficiency, safety, and flow of materials throughout the facility and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Receive and verify incoming shipments against documentation; escalate issues as needed
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments with correct quantities, packaging, labeling, and documentation
- Coordinate truck pickups and portal processing as required with the shipping supervisor
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records using Oracle Fusion and other systems
- Perform inventory tasks including cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and transaction management
- Operate PIT equipment (e.g. pallet jacks) safely and efficiently
- Utilize Microsoft Office and internal systems for communication and reporting
- Track serial numbers pertaining to the appropriate parts
- Maintain a clean, safe, and secure warehouse environment; follow all safety protocols
- Support process improvements, share best practices, and assist in training coworkers
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with multiple departments as needed
- Willingness to travel to offsite warehouse location in company van as needed
- Perform additional tasks as assigned

- Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors
- Proficient in inventory management systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion)
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Basic math proficiency and accurate inventory record management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital systems
- Able to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Experienced in operating warehouse equipment
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED); technical school diploma or equivalent work experience
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Visual requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory and shipment records
