This is a genuine opportunity for a capable Sub Agent or experienced Site Engineer looking to step up into more responsibility.
Who We’re Looking For
- You’ll already be operating as a Sub Agent or Senior Engineer within a civils environment and comfortable managing sections of works independently.
- You understand that strong planning, safety compliance and commercial awareness are what separate good projects from great ones.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Site Delivery
- Support the Site Agent in the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of works
- Take responsibility for specific sections or packages of work
- Coordinate subcontractors, plant and labour to ensure programme targets are achieved
- Maintain daily site records and contribute to reporting
- Health, Safety & Environmental
- Ensure works are delivered in full compliance with CDM regulations
- Assist in the production and implementation of CPPs, RAMS and site documentation
- Carry out site inspections, toolbox talks and briefings
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and environmental controls
- Programme & Quality Control
- Assist with short-term planning and lookahead programmes
- Use Asta Powerproject / Primavera P6 / MS Project to monitor progress
- Implement ITPs and ensure works meet specification and quality standards
- Identify and escalate potential delays or issues early
- Commercial Support
- Assist with procurement of plant, materials and subcontractors
- Support cost control, forecasting and valuations
- Identify and record variations where applicable
- Stakeholder & Team Coordination
- Liaise with client representatives, engineers and utility partners
- Attend site meetings and contribute to progress updates
- Supervise engineers and site teams to maintain high standards
What You Bring
- Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or relevant experience
- Experience within a Sub Agent, Senior Engineer or similar role in heavy civils
- Strong understanding of H&S legislation and quality procedures
- Experience with construction programming tools
- Good commercial awareness and reporting skills
- Flexibility to travel or work away when required
