Boyd Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join a freelance project across Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a civil engineering project while leading a skilled site team.
The Role
- Lead and manage the site team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery
- Allocate resources effectively and ensure each team member has the right skills and support
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions
- Monitor and analyse fully resourced programmes to meet project targets
- Manage subcontractors and build strong collaborative relationships
- Produce operational target programmes aligned with the overall construction programme
- Ensure all works meet quality standards and maintain rigorous QA control
- Uphold health & safety standards across the site
- Communicate effectively and maintain excellent organisation throughout the project
Requirements
- HND or BSc in Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience on water or heavy civils projects
- Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to mentor junior team members and drive high-performance delivery
