The post holder will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Loading and operation of milling and turning machines to produce precision components.
  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings to allow inspection of parts against specification.
  • Use of precision measuring equipment to inspect and check all parts conform to specification.
  • Deburr and finish machined parts as required using suitable equipment.
  • Completion of job-related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards.
  • Ensure a high standard of housekeeping and Health and Safety is maintained at all times.
  • Perform routine daily maintenance tasks.
  • Work under minimal supervision.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Must be flexible to meet company demands throughout the year.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required by Production / Operations Manager.

Essential Criteria:

  • Good mechanical dexterity skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work to a high level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Good communication skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in an engineering environment.
