How you’ll fit in to the big picture ✨
As an integral part of the People Team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining leading on our day to day people processes , helping advise both managers and boxxers on all things ‘people’ related. You’ll also be responsible for managing our employee data, producing reports and supporting payroll activities.
As a People team, we are committed to achieving operational excellence, and this role is vital to that success. Your role will be key in continuously improving our people service delivery so we’re seeking someone passionate about assessing our current practices and processes, making necessary improvements to ensure the team is set up for optimal performance.
What you’ll be doing 🎯
- Advise managers on People policies, procedures, and employee relations, ensuring alignment with boxxe’s culture and values
- Review current processes to identify improvements and enhance the employee experience
- Maintain people systems and reporting, ensuring data accuracy and effective use of tools and technologies
- Improve systems, workflows, and HR reporting, using data to identify trends and recommend improvements and cost-saving opportunities
- Oversee day-to-day People services, including family leave, probation, flexible working, and absence/performance management
- Support the People Coordinator with employee lifecycle administration
- Collaborate with the People Coordinator and finance team to ensure payroll and benefits are accurate and processed on time
- Manage employee relations cases, such as disciplinary actions, grievances, and absence management
- Ensure compliance with employment law and best practices in people management to minimise risks
- Develop, implement, and update People policies and procedures
- Support ad hoc projects aligned with business needs and the People strategy
What experience we think you’ll need 🚀
- Experience in advising managers on people processes and policies
- Experience in dealing with employee relations cases
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
- Understanding of GDPR regulations and requirements and how these impact people data
- You will be open, honest, trustworthy and can form good relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CIPD qualification or working towards is desirable
- Experience of managing payroll administration
- Great attention to deal and creative yet pragmatic approach to problem solving
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data
- Ability to prioritise, adapt and be agile
