The role: To support the General and Assistant General Manager in running the team in order to maintain a successful profitable business. The ideal candidate will have proven high volume bar management experience. You will manage a team of supervisors, bar staff, security, drive standards and sales, you will deputise as AGM in your GM’s absence.
Key Responsibilities:- Operating the bars throughout the site
- Delivering budgeted top line sales and ensuring that this is converted into profit through tight stock control
- Managing a team whilst driving engagement and personal development
- Working with the site management team to execute safe and profitable large-scale event days
- Work within the company budgets relating to drinks, labour & consumables, to provide the standard of service and guest experience required.
- Manage all aspects of the bar service within the premises in order to anticipate and exceed guest expectations, spearhead initiatives, incentives and bonuses tailored to maximise the guest experience.
- A proven track record in managing a high volume, large turnover bar operation
- Confident, articulate and highly-motivated
- Well-trained with a good understanding of H&S and due diligence
- Honest, reliable and hard-working
- A high level of personal integrity
- Passionate and proactive
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong people skills
- Able to build strong working relationships with team members and tenants
