Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, usually finishing at 12.00 on a Friday, depending on workload

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (Negotiable based on experience and skills)

The Role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced multi-skilled Field Service Engineer to install, commission, provide training on, and service and repair our range of Laser Cutters, Laser Engravers and CNC machine tools at customers’ sites throughout the UK. This is a predominantly field-based role using a company-provided van to deliver and install new equipment, as well as service existing customer machines across the UK mainland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, provide training on and service and repair Laser Cutters, Laser Engravers and CNC machine tools
  • Deliver and install new equipment at customer sites
  • Service existing customer machines across the UK mainland
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding to component level
  • Provide excellent customer support and training

Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience as a Laser Cutter and/or Engraver Installation / Service Engineer and Trainer
  • Recognised electrical qualification
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills to component level
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills
  • Hard-working, dependable and proactive approach
  • Ability to use initiative and think on your feet
  • A positive ‘can-do’ attitude with a focus on delivering an excellent customer experience
  • Live within commuting distance of Halifax
  • Good computer skills

Desirable

  • Previous experience installing and commissioning machinery
  • Experience working with laser cutting and engraving equipment, particularly metal cutting and CO₂ non-metal applications
  • Experience servicing CNC machine tools
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally when opportunities arise
