Working closely with our Senior Sous Chef, you’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of a high‑volume brunch venue while also gaining valuable exposure to the bakery side of the business.
What You’ll Be Doing- Assisting the Senior Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations.
- Preparing and cooking brunch menu items to a consistently high standard.
- Supporting ordering, stock rotation, and inventory management.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health, and safety standards.
- Supervising and supporting junior chefs and kitchen porters.
- Ensuring all kitchen sections remain clean, organised, and service‑ready.
- Monitoring food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Assisting with prep schedules and smooth service coordination during busy periods.
- Contributing ideas for seasonal specials and menu development.
- Helping minimise waste and maintain cost control targets.
- Stepping into leadership responsibilities in the absence of senior chefs.
- Learning and supporting the bakery side of the kitchen operation.
- Have previous restaurant and café experience within a busy kitchen.
