Phoenix Rising International Film Festival (PRIFF) is looking to bring on two to three Volunteer Events Coordinators to support the planning and delivery of its Industry Day, taking place in July as part of the festival’s 2026 season. This is a part-time, volunteer role, offered on a rolling three-month basis, with flexibility to renew beyond the initial term. The role is ideal for someone interested in events, film industry programming, or festival operations who wants hands-on experience working on a live industry event.

About the role

The Events Coordinators will work closely with the festival’s core team to help develop the Industry Day programme, coordinate speakers and panellists, liaise with the venue, and support the overall logistics of the event. This is a collaborative role with responsibility and visibility within the festival.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the development and scheduling of the Industry Day programme
  • Supporting outreach to speakers, panellists, and industry guests
  • Acting as a point of contact for speakers and contributors once confirmed
  • Liaising with the venue on logistics, access, and event requirements
  • Helping coordinate timelines, schedules, and event documentation
  • Providing on-the-day support during the Industry Day

Time commitment

Approximately one day per week, increasing as the event approaches. Remote planning, with in-person support required in July.

If volunteers stay on through the full festival, expenses cover:

  • Reimbursement for travel costs within the London area
  • Lunch expenses
  • Free access to screenings and the awards ceremony

Who this role is suited for

  • Someone with an interest in events, film festivals, or the creative industries
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Comfortable coordinating multiple moving parts and deadlines
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work collaboratively

Important note on commitment: While this is a volunteer role, consistent engagement is essential. The Industry Day involves external partners, speakers, and venues, and we are looking for people who can commit to seeing tasks through and supporting the event responsibly.

To apply

Please email your CV to priff@priffuk.co.uk with a short cover letter letting them know why you’d like to join their team. The closing date for this position is 31/01/2026 at 23:59.
