Firmdale Hotels is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Projectionist to join their renowned team and contribute to the success of a wide range of exclusive events held in their luxurious screening rooms.
As a Projectionist, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless execution of events, working closely with the Events Technical Manager.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the technical aspects of various events, from planning through to operation, while delivering unparalleled service that consistently exceeds guests’ expectations.
Responsibilities
- Provide a warm and professional welcome to guests, ensuring their technical needs are met with precision and care.
- Operate and manage Digital Cinema Technology and HD formats, ensuring flawless delivery.
- Offer expert advice and practical solutions to guests, ensuring the smooth operation of all technical elements.
- Respond promptly and effectively to any guest requests or technical challenges that arise.
- Collaborate closely with the Events Manager and events team to deliver exceptional experiences.
Skills
- Previous experience as a Projectionist or Technical Engineer in the entertainment or hospitality industry.
- Strong working knowledge of Digital Cinema Technology, HD formats, and post-production workflows.
- Proficiency in A/V technologies, including video presentations, microphones, and audio systems.
- IT skills, including proficiency with both PC and Mac platforms, Windows Office applications, and various media formats and networks.
- A warm, personable demeanour with a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.
- The ability to remain calm, patient, and solution-oriented under pressure.
- A resilient and driven mindset, focused on achieving excellence from the first attempt.
