What does a Customer Success Placement Student actually do?

To meet fast-growing enterprise needs, we provide world-class professional services to enable a successful move to the cloud. The Customer Success Team acts as a trusted advisor, focusing on driving adoption and delivering value for customers.

You will support activities and projects aimed at enhancing customer engagement, driving long-term adoption, and improving customer success metrics. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify content use-cases and overcome challenges of moving to a cloud environment.

You are a customer advocate who is data-driven and focused on delivering a great Box experience. You will help support and build trusting relationships and assist customers with their digital transformation strategy.

You will work across a wide range of areas in Customer Success at Box EMEA, including:

  • Customer Engagement
  • Product Adoption and Optimization
  • Project and Customer Programme Management
  • Data Analytics to drive customer outcomes

Day-to-day activities

  • Support client-facing activities with Customer Success Managers, coordinating campaigns, posts on Box Community, events, and end-user outreach to address churn risks and grow the customer base.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, identifying trends and providing internal feedback on how Box can better serve customers.
  • Work on real business challenges across multiple industries and organization sizes.

Data Analysis

  • Prepare reports on customer health metrics and provide insights for improvement. Collaborate with the CS team to collect, process, and analyze data to help leadership make better decisions.
  • Identify new ways to engage strategically with customers and drive improved outcomes.

Project Management/Coordination

  • Get involved in cross-functional initiatives sponsored by CS leadership to drive key adoptions (e.g., AI).
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Consulting, Support, Product) to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Create content for internal and external communications, ensuring alignment with brand voice and customer needs.

Process Improvement

  • Take ownership of projects aimed at improving internal processes for customer engagement.
  • Be agile and contribute to building a best-in-class Customer Success programme.

Who you are

  • Undergraduate student in a placement year returning to study Autumn 2027; right to work in UK in place.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships.
  • Resilient with a can-do attitude.
  • Team player and customer advocate.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Additional languages (French or German) a plus but not required.
  • Business, Technology or Management related studies are helpful but not required.
