As a Public Sector Account Executive on our Commercial team, you’ll be responsible for identifying and closing new opportunities across both new logos and our existing customer base. You will have experience prospecting, running discovery calls/demos, negotiating, and a track record of closing new business. You should also understand multi‑threaded selling, use cases and how to sell across multiple departments and industries. To be successful in this role you will understand how to go after new business and build relationships with potential customers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manage the entire sales cycle, which includes prospecting, conducting discovery calls and demos, negotiating deals, and closing new & existing business in the Public Sector, focusing on Local Gov.
  • Source and close net new logos within a given territory in the Commercial Public Sector segment.
  • Expand on existing accounts in your Book of Business.
  • Research and understand your customers and prospects to gain insight into their business challenges and Box value proposition.
  • Influence and drive the sales process while managing through multi‑layer stakeholders in commercial public sector organisations.
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methodologies, techniques and evaluation criteria throughout the sales process.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to move deals forward and ensure customer success.

WHO YOU ARE

  • A strong full‑cycle B2B SaaS seller with a track record of results and experience selling into the public sector.
  • Experience in lead generation and client relationship management.
  • Prior success in technology sales is preferred.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn about Box’s product, new technologies, the industry, and your customer’s businesses.
  • Clear examples of successfully closing deals using an established sales process.
  • Effectively utilizes a repeatable method for identifying untapped opportunities and expanding into new territories.
  • Previous experience in building relationships and selling to executives at all levels.

  • Specific experience selling to Local Government.

Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 3 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
