We are seeking a Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer for a full-time hybrid role at our City of Bristol office, with some flexibility for remote work. This role involves designing and overseeing electrical systems for building services, leading projects from concept through to delivery. Tasks include developing power distribution and power system designs, reviewing project specifications, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to energy‑efficient and sustainable design solutions for our clients.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering principles
- Advanced knowledge of Power Distribution and Power Systems
- Strong understanding of electricity and its practical applications
- Experience in project management and leading multidisciplinary teams is an advantage
- High attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving abilities
- Proficiency in industry‑standard tools, such as BIM, Revit, or CAD, is highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Professional registration or accreditation (e.g., Chartered Engineer) is preferred
Software Experience
The successful candidate will be expected to have experience in the following software packages utilised by our design teams; Amtech Prodesign, IES Virtual Environment, Dialux, Relux, Radiance, Revit, Autocad, Navisworks, Low Carbon comfort Space Allowances, Sketch Up, Microsoft office suite and Microsoft Project.
