About the Role

Box Leisure Recruitment are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and customer-focused Lifeguards to join a busy and exciting leisure operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a fast-paced, guest-focused environment where safety, customer experience, and teamwork are key priorities. As a Lifeguard, you will play a vital role in ensuring all guests enjoy a safe and enjoyable experience within the swimming pool and leisure facilities. You will be responsible for maintaining high safety standards while delivering excellent customer service and helping create memorable guest experiences. You will also support with poolside activities, guest interaction, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the leisure areas. If you already hold an NPLQ qualification – fantastic! However, full training and support towards gaining your NPLQ qualification can also be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise swimming pools and leisure facilities to ensure guest safety at all times
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and interact positively with guests
  • Monitor poolside activities and respond quickly to incidents or emergencies
  • Support and run guest activities where required
  • Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness across pool and leisure areas
  • Carry out regular safety checks and report any concerns immediately
  • Work both independently and as part of a wider leisure team
  • Help create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests

About You

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Are confident swimmers with strong attention to detail
  • Have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Thrive within busy leisure or hospitality environments
  • Are reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Have a positive and proactive attitude
  • Can work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Work well independently and within a team
  • Previous lifeguard experience or an NPLQ qualification would be advantageous, however full training can be provided for suitable candidates looking to start a career within the leisure industry.
