Legal Administrative Support (Litigation & Real Estate)

Location: Bristol (City Centre)

Salary: £28,000 - £29,000

Department: Legal Departmental Support (LSA)

Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days office

Hours: 35 hours per week (9:00am - 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch)

An award-winning law firm with a strong national presence, providing legal services across multiple practice areas throughout the UK. The firm has recently centralised its Legal Departmental Support function to deliver consistent, high-quality support to legal teams nationwide.

This role sits within the Property Litigation team in Bristol and forms part of a wider support structure servicing legal teams across the business. The successful candidate will support a team of Property Litigation fee earners, working alongside other legal support professionals. The role is focused on legal administration and case support rather than diary management or running a caseload.

Please note: This position is an administrative support role and is not intended as a route into fee earning. As such, it is unlikely to suit Law Graduates, aspiring Solicitors, Paralegals seeking progression into fee earning work, or candidates looking to manage their own caseload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support fee earners with active litigation and real estate matters.
  • Track and monitor key dates, court deadlines, completion dates, and tribunal hearings.
  • Maintain and update case management systems and legal databases.
  • Prepare legal documentation, court forms, bundles, submissions, and Land Registry applications.
  • Access and manage HMRC and court documentation where required.
  • Manage electronic and physical filing, including e-filing correspondence and legal documents.
  • Draft emails and correspondence for fee earners to review and send.
  • Screen and manage client calls.
  • Liaise with clients, providing updates and responding to queries.
  • Update client portals, trackers, and matter records.
  • Arrange experts, appointments, meetings, and conferences.
  • Raise bills, process invoices, arrange payments, and support financial administration.
  • Work collaboratively with wider business support teams.

Essential

  • Previous experience in a Legal Administrator, Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, or similar legal support role.
  • Experience supporting Litigation and/or Real Estate teams.
  • Understanding of the litigation process and legal documentation.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams).
