Restaurant Manager – Fast Food / Oriental Restaurant

Box Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK holiday resort operator for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join their busy Food & Beverage operation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in fast food, QSR, Chinese or Oriental restaurants, branded restaurants or other high-volume food operations who enjoys leading from the front, developing a team and driving strong restaurant performance.
You’ll be working within a fast-paced resort environment where speed, quality and guest experience are equally important. You’ll be highly visible on the floor, leading your team during busy services, driving standards and ensuring guests receive fast, friendly and consistent service.
The Role
As Restaurant Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the successful day-to-day operation of a busy food outlet, leading the team and driving operational, commercial and guest service performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the restaurant.
- Leading, motivating and managing the team during busy service periods.
- Delivering fast, friendly service while maintaining excellent food quality and consistency.
- Being highly visible on the floor and leading by example.
- Coaching and developing team members to improve performance and confidence.
- Managing rotas, labour planning and effective team deployment.
- Monitoring revenue, spend per head, service speed and guest satisfaction.
- Using guest feedback, NPS, guest flow and team performance to make effective real-time decisions.
- Managing labour costs and performance against budget.
- Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene, health & safety and compliance standards.
- Taking responsibility for stock control, product care and waste reduction.
- Ensuring food preparation, presentation and service standards are consistently maintained.
- Delivering operational and commercial plans to improve outlet performance.
- Creating a positive team culture where people feel supported, valued and motivated.
- Identifying opportunities to improve sales, efficiency, service and the overall guest experience.
About You
We’re looking for an energetic, commercially aware and hands-on manager who is comfortable taking ownership of a busy restaurant operation.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous management experience within fast food, QSR, Chinese/Oriental restaurants, restaurants or high-volume F&B.
- Strong people leadership, coaching and communication skills.
- Experience managing rotas, labour and budgets.
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and operational compliance.
- Experience with stock control and waste management.
- Excellent customer and guest service skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of restaurant KPIs.
- The ability to remain calm, organised and decisive during extremely busy service periods.
- A hands-on leadership style – this isn't an office-based management position!
- The confidence to lead from the front and make decisions in real time.
Experience within a branded fast-food operation, Chinese or Oriental restaurant, holiday park, resort, visitor attraction or other high-footfall environment would be particularly attractive.
Desirable
- Food Safety qualification, ideally Level 3 or above.
- Personal Licence.
- First Aid training.
- Experience managing multiple outlets or larger-scale operations.
