We are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a truly exciting senior leadership opportunity within the holiday park and leisure industry. Our client is a large-scale, highly successful holiday resort operation seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Retail & Guest Operations to oversee multiple key revenue-generating departments across the business.

This is a high-profile leadership role requiring a dynamic operator who can lead from the front, inspire large teams, drive commercial performance, and deliver exceptional guest experiences across all areas of the resort. The role would suit an experienced senior leader from a large holiday park, resort, leisure, hospitality, or multi-department retail environment.

The Role

As Head of Retail & Guest Operations, you will take overall responsibility for multiple guest-facing departments across the resort operation, ensuring all teams consistently deliver exceptional standards, commercial performance, and memorable guest experiences. You will oversee both permanent management teams and a large seasonal workforce, playing a key role in the wider operational and strategic direction of the business. This is not just an operational role — the successful candidate will also contribute towards future development plans, new ideas, and wider business growth strategies alongside the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all retail and guest operations across the resort
  • Drive revenue, profitability, and operational performance across all departments
  • Manage and develop a permanent management structure including: Assistant Manager, Catering Manager, Entertainment Manager, Watersports Manager
  • Lead and motivate a seasonal workforce of up to 150 team members
  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and operational standards at all times
  • Work closely with the General Manager on wider business strategy and development
  • Support the implementation of new ideas, initiatives, and future growth projects
  • Manage KPIs, staffing levels, labour controls, and departmental budgets
  • Create a positive, engaging, and high-performing culture across the resort

About You

  • Previous experience within a senior holiday park, resort, or large-scale leisure operation is essential
  • Strong background managing multiple departments within hospitality, retail, entertainment, or leisure
  • Proven leadership experience overseeing large seasonal teams
  • Commercially driven with strong operational awareness
  • Passionate about guest experience and team development
  • Strong communicator with excellent organisational skills
  • Energetic, hands-on, and highly motivated leader
  • Experience within large-scale holiday parks or resort environments highly advantageous
