Responsibilities
- We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Full-time Commercial Event Manager who can efficiently plan, promote, coordinate, and execute events.
- This is a flexible role where you will be given the freedom to apply your experience and skills to drive our customer's experience and expectations.
- To work closely with the Area Manager, General Manager, Duty manager and Venues Team to deliver successfully events and functions for our customers.
- To promote our venues and work with our local communities to drive our venues forward.
- Lead event on-site execution, troubleshooting issues, and managing staff.
- Develop event concepts, project plans, and timelines to meet objectives.
- Analyse performance, gather feedback, and produce reports on success.
Qualifications
- Excellent project management, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for negotiating and liaising with stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI.
- Research and negotiate with venues, caterers, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in event management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Resourceful, creative, and calm under pressure.
- To be responsible for delivering customer excellence in a positive and professional manner.
- To deal with and provide accurate written records of any incidents and occurrences as required.
- To be familiar with the correct usage of all safety equipment and alarm systems within the centre, and to take effective action in emergency situations, directing staff and customers as required.
- To comply with food handling and hygiene requirements.
- To effectively implement the Health and Safety policy and associated procedures.
Essential requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in event management or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexible availability.
- Good understanding of event production or media events is a plus.
