About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and resilient
Registered Manager
to lead a small, therapeutic children\’s home supporting up to three young people aged 8-17. This is an opportunity to shape a family-style, nurturing home where children feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential. Whether you\’re an experienced Registered Manager or a strong Deputy ready to step up, this role offers the chance to focus on quality care, supported by a collaborative leadership team that always puts children first.
Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and the Children\’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015. Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, ensuring their voices are central to decision-making. Create a homely, activity-filled environment underpinned by therapeutic and trauma-informed practice. Provide strong leadership, supervision, and guidance to staff, building a motivated and skilled team. Oversee staff recruitment, induction, and development, fostering a culture of learning and excellence. Manage budgets and resources effectively, balancing financial sustainability with quality care. Build positive partnerships with social workers, schools, health professionals, and families. Drive continuous improvement, preparing for inspections and achieving outstanding outcomes. Requirements Experience as a Registered Manager or in a senior leadership role within children\’s residential care. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards). Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted inspections, and regulatory frameworks. Experience in trauma-informed and child-centred care approaches. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Resilience, creativity, and the ability to inspire and support children and staff. What\’s on Offer Salary up to £50,000 per year + performance-related bonuses. Company pension and on-site parking.
