Due to further expansion, this growing business who specialise in the repair of rotating equipment including electric motors, pumps and gearboxes is seeking an experienced Conventional Turner/Machinist.
You will be responsible for:
- Conventional turning and milling using manual machinery.
- The use of conventional machines and other machines to manufacture new parts.
- Working on small batch parts and taking responsibility for measuring worn or broken parts.
- Producing new parts taking into consideration bearing tolerances and machine threats.
- General bench fitting duties may be some of your responsibility.
- On call work - one in four.
- General repair of rotating machines, electric motors, pumps and gearboxes would be ideal.
To apply you will be:
- An experienced manual/conventional machinist/turner (NOT CNC).
- General bench fitting experience would be ideal.
- Must be available to be on call one week a month.
- Overtime available subject to workload.
- Experience of repairing rotating machines, electric motors, pumps & gearboxes would be ideal.
- Sound Engineering knowledge and a positive attitude.
- Flexibility, as overtime required often at short notice.
What’s on Offer:
- Excellent salary (dependant on skills and experience).
- 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (increasing to 25 after 2 years).
- OTE around £45,000 - £50,000 plus with overtime.
