is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK holiday resort operator for an experienced
Kitchen Manager
to join their busy Food & Beverage operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced kitchen professional who enjoys leading a team, developing people and maintaining consistently high standards in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. You'll be responsible for leading the kitchen team, ensuring excellent food quality, managing kitchen performance and maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and health & safety.
The Role As Kitchen Manager, you'll take responsibility for the successful day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring the team delivers consistently high-quality food and an excellent guest experience. Your responsibilities will include: Leading, motivating and developing the kitchen team. Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen. Ensuring food is prepared, cooked and presented consistently to the required standards. Maintaining excellent food quality, portion control and recipe specifications. Planning kitchen resources and ensuring the right team is in place for each service. Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training of kitchen team members. Coaching the team to improve performance, skills and confidence. Managing food costs through effective menu planning, portion control and waste reduction. Monitoring kitchen performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Ensuring all food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards are consistently maintained. Ensuring allergen and dietary requirements are managed correctly. Supporting food safety audits, inspections and compliance checks. Maintaining accurate kitchen records and operational checks. Managing stock levels, ordering, rotation and storage. Monitoring food waste and implementing cost-saving initiatives. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and wider Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth service. Ensuring the kitchen is fully prepared for busy trading periods and peak guest volumes. Making guest experience a key focus of kitchen decisions and ensuring food quality contributes to an excellent overall experience. Leading by example and creating a positive, energetic and team-focused kitchen environment. About You We're looking for someone who is
hard-working, reliable, determined and passionate about delivering great food and developing people . You'll ideally have: Previous experience as a
Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, Sous Chef or experienced Kitchen Supervisor . Strong team leadership and people management skills. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume commercial kitchen. Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health & safety. Experience managing food costs, stock and waste. Strong organisational and communication skills. The ability to remain calm and effective during busy service periods. A hands-on approach and the ability to lead from the front. A genuine passion for delivering consistently high food quality and guest experiences. The confidence to identify areas for improvement and implement positive changes. You should hold a
Level 3 Food Safety qualification
and be confident in leading a kitchen team to consistently deliver high standards in a busy environment. Experience within a
holiday park, resort, hotel, restaurant group, visitor attraction or other high-volume hospitality operation
would be particularly attractive.
