Overview
As Account Director, you will take ownership of a portfolio of strategic client accounts, acting as the senior point of contact while driving account growth and ensuring exceptional campaign delivery. Working across integrated marketing programmes, you'll oversee campaigns spanning demand generation, account‑based marketing, sales enablement, digital engagement, social media, video and events. This is a hands‑on leadership position within a close‑knit team. Alongside mentoring and developing colleagues, you'll work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong senior‑level client relationships, acting as a trusted strategic partner.
- Lead the delivery of integrated, multi‑channel marketing campaigns.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing client accounts through upselling, cross‑selling and new programme development.
- Mentor, support and develop Account Managers and Account Executives.
- Oversee campaign planning, briefing and execution across multiple workstreams.
- Ensure marketing strategies align with client objectives and commercial goals.
- Prepare and review proposals, ensuring both commercial accuracy and creative quality.
- Manage account forecasting, profitability and overall performance.
- Lead client presentations, strategic reviews and planning sessions.
- Develop relationships with senior stakeholders across client organisations.
- Support business development activity and agency pitches where required.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to an exceptional standard.
Qualifications
- Experience within a marketing agency environment.
- A strong understanding of demand generation and customer acquisition strategies.
- A proven track record of developing and growing client accounts.
- Experience managing senior stakeholders.
- Previous leadership or people management experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Strong commercial awareness, including forecasting, budgeting and profitability.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast‑paced agency environment.
- A proactive mindset with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding client service.
What You’ll Achieve
Within your first six months you’ll have established yourself as a trusted adviser to key clients, successfully led integrated campaigns, identified new growth opportunities and become an integral part of the leadership team.
Salary & Benefits
- £55,000 basic salary.
- Realistic On Target Earnings of £75,000‑£90,000.
- Performance based bonus paid three times per year.
