We are seeking a passionate, skilled and ambitious teacher of SEND to join our highly regarded SEND team to "Build Champion Learners" within our Resource Base. The role will be supporting a job share for a small class of KS2 children (13 children) who attend Blackhorse Resource Base. The successful candidate will be passionate about children’s learning and development, with a creative approach that inspires a love of learning and encourages every child to succeed.

You will be a reflective practitioner who works collaboratively with colleagues, values feedback, and is committed to continuous professional development.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has a strong understanding of Autism, social communication needs and inclusive teaching approaches.
  • Demonstrates proven standards of excellent teaching
  • Has experience of planning for a wide range of need and breadth of ability within an inclusive environment
  • Shows commitment and passion when working with pupils through aspirational target setting
  • Can demonstrate professional growth through engagement with research and evidence-based practice
  • Provides an ambitious learning environment which meets every child’s needs
  • Has boundless enthusiasm and enjoys working as part of a team
  • Is willing to become involved in the life of the school.
  • A willingness to undertake further training and professional growth

Fluency Duty: This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
