This is a fabulous opportunity to join the team as Night Porter at the Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort near Calne, Wiltshire. This luxury country hotel, set in the heart of Wiltshire, is situated in the Capability Brown parkland of Bowood House with an 18-hole golf course, a 3-hole academy course and surrounding woodland. The hotel has 43 bedrooms, a library, bar and the Shelburne Restaurant for fine dining. Connected to the hotel is a conference, wedding and banqueting centre which can accommodate up to 200 guests.
We are looking for a hardworking, customer focused individual to join our Front of House Night team. Please note, this is a live out role. Working from 10:45pm to 7:15am, 5 nights per week, you will be responsible for the Hotel, its residents and operations during the night time period, ensuring that all guests' needs are met as well as the safety and security of guests and team members.
Responsibilities:- Welcome late arrivals, assist with luggage, deliver room service, take messages, provide directions, arrange transport, and handle general guest queries.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, monitor security systems, respond to emergencies (fire, medical), and ensure all areas are secure.
- Check guests in/out, manage late bar service.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks, tidy public areas, restock supplies, and log maintenance issues.
