The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 £ per hour.
The successful applicant will have excellent customer service and communication skills, along with a genuine passion for learning about and sharing the history of Bowood House with our visitors. Previous experience in a customer-facing role would be advantageous but is not essential, as full induction training will be provided. A strong interest in history and a warm, engaging manner are key to ensuring our visitors enjoy a memorable and informative experience.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Welcoming and engaging with our visitors upon entry and during their time in Bowood House
- Assisting in the Terrace Gift Shop
- Completing security checks
- The option to conduct House Tours to visiting groups
This is a paid, seasonal position aligned with Bowood’s open season (27th March – 1st November 2026). The role is to cover a Saturday vacancy, with shifts scheduled between our opening hours of 10:30am and 5:30pm.
