We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and people-focused Afternoon Tea Specialist to join our growing team. This is an opportunity for someone who appreciates the craft, culture, and ceremony behind exceptional tea — and loves sharing that experience with others. From delicate white teas to bolder blends, you will guide customers through flavour profiles, brewing times, and pairings while creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest.
The role:
- Curating exceptional afternoon tea experiences within the Shelburne Restaurant for Bowood guests
- Advising on tea varieties, flavour notes and recommended pairings
- Preparing and serving a range of black tea, green tea and herbal infusions homegrown on the Tregothnan Estate in Cornwall
- Maintaining high presentation and service standards
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a genuine passion for tea and hospitality
- Enjoy connecting with people and creating experiences
- Be confident, warm, and engaging
- Have experience in cafés, hospitality, or speciality food & beverage (preferred but not essential)
- Be eager to learn and grow within a specialist environment
