The Role

As Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day operation of our busy hotel kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards across all food offerings. Experience in Pastry or Conference & Banquet would be highly advantageous, although not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present high‑quality dishes to agreed standards
  • Manage your designated kitchen section efficiently
  • Support senior chefs with menu preparation and service delivery
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Assist with stock control and minimise food waste
  • Work collaboratively within a professional kitchen brigade

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Senior Commis Chef, or Demi Chef de Partie
  • Experience working within a 4‑star hotel, luxury hospitality venue, rosette restaurant, or high‑volume kitchen
  • Strong culinary skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • A positive attitude, commitment, and enthusiasm
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

This role is based at the rural estate of Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort within the wider Bowood Estate near Calne. Live‑in accommodation available; or own reliable transport is essential due to rural location. Easily commutable from Chippenham, Swindon, Devizes, Melksham, Bath, Corsham and surrounding Wiltshire areas.
