We are now seeking a professional and enthusiastic Bar Person to join our Shelburne Restaurant team.

About the Role

Working under the direction of the Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the presentation and service of all beverages meet our high standards of quality, cost control, and guest satisfaction.

You will support operations across the Shelburne Bar, as well as assist with other bars and the wider Food & Beverage team as required.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 on a shift rota basis.

Applicants must be flexible to cover shifts between 15:00–23:30 or 17:00–01:00.

Due to our location, own transport is essential as public transport is not available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present beverages to the highest standards within the Shelburne Bar
  • Deliver exceptional, professional customer service in line with brand expectations
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge including latte art, espresso calibration, and basic mixology
  • Proactively drive sales through confident upselling and suggestive selling
  • Manage stock effectively, including restocking beverages, ice, and garnishes
  • Accurately process cash and card payments using our POS system
  • Complete end-of-shift cashing up, balancing tills and securing takings in line with procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and fully sanitised working environment, adhering to all health & safety and food safety regulations

About You

  • Previous barista or bartending experience is essential
  • Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and cocktail basics
  • A confident communicator with a proactive sales mindset
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • A team player who takes pride in delivering high standards
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to work evening and weekend shifts with own transport
