Job Description:

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Southern Region, based on site, to run a £43m new school build in Oxford. Must have main contractor experience and have managed projects of similar size and type.

This is a full-time, permanent role. Ideally 42.5 hours over 5 days per week, with a start time of 8:30 am and finish at 5:30 pm.

Duties of the Role:

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Tackle difficult issues early.
  • Financial control of the project, maximizing profitability while maintaining client and supply chain relationships.
  • Identify and eliminate risk.
  • Aspire to the highest standards of quality, service, and business performance.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with clients and their teams.
  • Drive and maintain financial and commercial control.
  • Maintain professional and considerate relationships.
  • Lead the team effectively.
  • Support the Contracts Manager/Operations Director in project delivery.
  • Develop relationships with the supply chain.
  • Manage and mitigate Extension of Time or Delay Claims.
  • Lead the Value Engineering process.
  • Manage dispute settlement.
