About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Southern Region, based on site, to run a £43m new school build in Oxford. Must have main contractor experience and have managed projects of similar size and type.
This is a full-time, permanent role. Ideally 42.5 hours over 5 days per week, with a start time of 8:30 am and finish at 5:30 pm.
Duties of the Role:
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Tackle difficult issues early.
- Financial control of the project, maximizing profitability while maintaining client and supply chain relationships.
- Identify and eliminate risk.
- Aspire to the highest standards of quality, service, and business performance.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with clients and their teams.
- Drive and maintain financial and commercial control.
- Maintain professional and considerate relationships.
- Lead the team effectively.
- Support the Contracts Manager/Operations Director in project delivery.
- Develop relationships with the supply chain.
- Manage and mitigate Extension of Time or Delay Claims.
- Lead the Value Engineering process.
- Manage dispute settlement.
