We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our North Midlands region, initially to support the completion of a project in Lincoln.
Duties of the Role:
- Providing support to line manager and promoting a partnering environment.
- Taking responsibility for financial aspects of a project, when appropriate.
- Supporting other members of the team to achieve successful project delivery.
- Aspire to the very highest standards of quality, service and business performance, ensuring clients are satisfied.
- Tackling difficult issues early by promoting early resolution to problems.
- Being commercially aware of the environment around you and applying common sense, good judgement, and demonstrating financial understanding.
- Achieving project targets whilst maintaining client and supply chain relationships.
- To assist with Sub Contractor Procurement, Subcontract orders and general Contract Administration ensuring these are completed to the necessary deadlines.
- Collating and keep up to date tracking documents and fully complying with our standards.
- Ensuring the Regional and Company procedures are fulfilled in relation to the processing of Subcontractor Payments.
- Assess performance and strive for continuous improvement.
- Understand the step down to the supply chain and enforce where appropriate.
- Any other duties associated with this position which are related to the objectives of the Company or Team.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or similar.
- Ideally 1-2 years main contracting experience.
- Good organisational skills.
- Accuracy of administration and compliance with company standards.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Performance against project budgets.
- Problem solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop.
- Must be willing to adapt to business requirements.
- Driving license essential.
